Your mobile device with PCAD I.T. services

• Wireless: access settings

• Email + Calendar:  there are two main options --
Nearly any web browser on any mobile device can login over a secure channel at http://gmail.pcad.edu/ or http://calendar.pcad.edu/

      OR

You could download the GMail App or Google Calendar App.

      OR

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select the Mail,Contacts,Calendars item
  3. Under Accounts choose Add Account...
  4. Choose Other
  5. Add Mail Account > then enter at least your PCAD email address & password before hitting next
  6. IMAP Account Information
    Name: Anne Example
    Address: anneexample@pcad.edu
    Description: PCAD email
    Incoming mail server
    Host name: webmail.pcad.edu
    User name: anneexample@pcad.edu
    Password: ********
    Outgoing mail server
    Host name: webmail.pcad.edu
    User name: anneexample@pcad.edu
    Password: ******** [required]
  7. Next, after verifying, go back into the account settings of the PCAD account you just set up
  8. Under Outgoing Mail Server > SMTP > select webmail.pcad.edu under Primary Server > and verify that SSL is on and that the Server Port is 465
  9. Again back in the account settings of the PCAD account you just set up > go to Advanced menu
  10. Under Incoming Settings verfiy that SSL is on and that the Server Port is 993


• To then import all your PCAD contacts for use in the Mail app:

  1. Repeat steps 1 - 4 from setting up the Mail app
  2. Under Contacts select "Add CardDAV Account"
  3. Enter the same information as before:
  4. CardDAV settings:
    Server: webmail.pcad.edu
    User Name: anneexample
    Password: ********
    Description: PCAD contacts


• To also import all your PCAD calendar events for use in the Calendar app:

  1. Repeat steps 1 - 4 from setting up the Mail app
  2. Under Calendars select "Add CalDAV Account"
  3. Enter the same information as before:

    Server: webmail.pcad.edu
    User Name: anneexample
    Password: ********
